Inspired by @me , we are considering setting up a #matrix server for @ndlug. We already self-host an #IRC server (chat.ndlug.org), but are open to self-hosting #matrix and probably #element as well.

What are your thoughts?

@ndlug you can host other (better?) clients than element! Check out Cinny or SchildiChat. Both seem to better for chat??

I'm just using element since it has the bells and whistles (voip and video call support mainly) built in. I
